CC Child Pages Pro extends the functionality of the free CC Child Pages plugin by adding new skins, visual effects, and dynamic filtering options to the shortcode.

The shortcode itself remains the same — this means all existing shortcode configurations will continue to work exactly as before. The Pro add-on simply adds new capabilities that you can enable through shortcode attributes.

Quick Start

Just as in the free version, you can add the shortcode directly to any post, page, or widget area.

With CC Child Pages Pro, you can now enhance the display by using the new advanced skins directly from the shortcode as well as by using the new Gutenberg Block.

1. Advanced Skins

CC Child Pages Pro introduces several new visual skins that expand on the free version’s Simple and Cards layouts.

Cover Background

Description:
The Cover Background skin gives each child page a full-width or full-column background image, using the featured image as a hero-style cover. Titles and excerpts are displayed as an overlay, ensuring strong visual contrast and impact. This layout is ideal for visually rich sections such as portfolios, projects, or service overviews.

Front-end Appearance:
Each tile or card fills its grid cell with the featured image as the background. The text (title, excerpt, and link) appears over the image, centred with a semi-transparent dark overlay for readability. On hover, the image gently zooms to create a subtle sense of depth and the excerpt is revealed.

Corporate Cards

Description:
The Corporate Cards skin presents child pages in a clean, professional card layout with structured alignment and modern typography. It’s designed for business, corporate, or portfolio websites that require a polished, minimal, and easily readable grid.

Front-end Appearance:
Each child page is displayed within a neatly bordered card, typically on a light or white background. The title, image, excerpt, and link are spaced consistently with balanced padding creating a restrained feel suited to professional sites.

Glass Tiles

Description:
The Glass Tiles skin is a modern, eye-catching layout inspired by minimalist glass-effect design trends. It suits creative agencies, tech companies, and design portfolios.

Front-end Appearance:
Each tile features a light background. Thin borders and rounded corners enhance the glass-like effect. Text appears clean and sharp, and the overall effect is a minimalist and clean layout.

Spotlight Lead

Shortcode Example:

Description:
The Spotlight Lead skin highlights featured or important child pages by giving greater prominence to the first item in the layout. It uses asymmetric grid spacing, larger images, and bold typography to create a strong visual hierarchy.

Front-end Appearance:
The first child page spans two columns, displaying its featured image and title more prominently. Remaining items are arranged below or beside it in a smaller grid. The leading card may include hover highlights, animated underlines, or subtle text movement to draw attention naturally. This skin is ideal for showcasing featured articles, announcements, or flagship content.

Note: All skins from the free version remain available. Pro skins simply extend the selection — no settings or shortcodes need to be changed to continue using existing designs.
